About Spouses Cleaning Houses

Spouses Cleaning Houses was founded in 1995 by husband and wife, Ed and Rebecca Wright. Together, their leadership and commitment have transformed a once part-time endeavor into a successful and thriving business. They know how to clean your home!

How did owner Ed Wright start his business? It all began in the Army. Ed served his country for 11 years, occasionally taking side jobs to make ends meet. When his wife Rebecca suggested cleaning military housing for extra income, they learned from the best. Ed found a colleague who was trained in “dress right dress” cleaning. In Army lingo that means really REALLY clean. That started a path to the start of Spouses Cleaning Houses.

Why Choose Us For Your House Cleaning Needs?

Value – Bottom line, your time is extremely valuable. Think about this – calculate how much you make per hour and multiple it by the amount of time it will take to clean your home. Chances are it is much less expensive to hire a house cleaning company than to do it yourself.

Stress Reducing – Living in a dirty or cluttered home can send your stress level through the roof. You have a busy life. At the end of the day, you do not need to add to cleaning to your lists of tasks that never get completed. Having a clean home shouldn’t require yet another item on your to-do list.

Efficiency – As in any employment situation, the more experience you have in an area, the better you are at doing that job. When you hire a cleaning company, you have a professional staff that knows how to work efficiently to get the job done right. They do not cut corners but they know how to manage their workflow so that they complete the job in a reasonable amount of time without sacrificing quality.

Status – Believe it or not, people actually brag about hiring a professional house cleaning company. Many people have the perception that hiring a cleaning company to clean your home is very expensive.

Army Clean

Ed’s friend showed them the ropes. Both Ed and Rebecca took a liking to it. They were even able to bring their kids to work, who were two and six at the time. This early training set the stage for establishing the business and being true to the values of discipline and quality that Ed learned in the army.

I definitely believe that my time in the army helped me become who I am today”, says Ed. “I come from humble beginnings, and the discipline and character instilled from the military definitely helped when I was establishing the business.”

Ed has learned a lot over the years and credits on-the-job training he received both in the military and in cleaning to “army inspection” standards. Starting with cleaning military housing was the pivotal point that allowed Ed to see the bigger picture of a business and career. In the early years, Ed and Rebecca worked together, establishing the name Spouses Cleaning Houses. He didn’t want a cleaning business at first and chuckles that if given the choice, he would’ve started a donut company.

All kidding (and donuts) aside, Ed is proud to be a Veteran owned business. He and Rebecca and the Spouses Cleaning Houses family thanks all those who have served their country for their dedication, sacrifice, and service.
